21 Days Out

In my backpack there is a slim yellow folder bearing a simple sheet full of boxes with initials, dates, my own name in reverse order and one big grey stamp that reads DEPLOYABLE. I haven’t moved it yet, filed it away as I ought to, or even sorted its documents, though I have inspected the [...]

My swimming technique can probably best be described as synchronous flailing, until I get tired, when it becomes a sort of languors fight to stay afloat. In brighter moments, when energized, I may even look like a furious jellyfish when on my back, or a beaver when on my front, but delicate, stealthy and smooth [...]

Apply the white cream out of the blue jar as soon as he leaves, and advise him of the same. It’s a good time had by both, though I think we both believe each of us had the better time, if only because that is how we are.

Mine eyes have seen: hair

Today I saw someone cut my hair for the first time, or at least in 20 years. It’s a weird feeling, surrendering that turned up sensation to every clip, move of head and buzz to actually seeing the hair take shape. It’s all quite, quite strange.

So they added another character to Grey’s Anantomy, an Army O-4 I jokingly named McMeany (that will be his nickname, or some derivation thereof, I just know it, until he becomes all human and cuddly) who is going to be Christina’s new Burke. Not classically handsome or hot and kinda, a little rough (but not [...]

What are YOU doing here?

No need to be long winded. The title refers to a question that has been asked twice this weekend. Once at the DC Eagle (a google search will answer any questions but suffice to say it’s a genteel watering hole for the non-vegan crowd) by a man in a very stretchy rubber suit, and then [...]

One early morning last week, while my dreams were still there, I heard a propeller through the morning air. I keep my window open on these cool spring nights, as I reconnect with the worlds. It was strange; we’ve been a no fly zone for years, even before that crisp, beautiful autumn day put an [...]
